We're thrilled to officially announce that Janus Deli is expanding into Brisbane—and our newest location in Slacks Creek is more than just another store. It’s the next chapter in our growth, and it’s going to be the beating heart of our food business.
Slacks Creek has been on our radar for a while. Its central location, great accessibility, and strategic geography make it the perfect hub to support not only our community-facing deli but also a brand-new central kitchen and bakery that will power the Janus Deli experience across South East Queensland.
We’ve taken over a space that was once a roastery café, and that came with a great advantage: many of the café facilities were already in place. But we’re not just repurposing—we’re reimagining. The former roastery area will soon become a state-of-the-art bakery and our central kitchen, where much of the magic behind the food at all our stores will be crafted fresh each day. We’re keeping the bones, but the soul will be pure Janus Deli.
Now, we know that Slacks Creek leans heavily industrial, and it would be easy for a place like ours to feel out of sync with its surroundings. But that’s not what Janus Deli is about. We’re creating a space that feels warm, inviting, and full of life—a little getaway tucked among warehouses and commercial blocks. Whether you're dropping by for a quick coffee or sitting down for a bite, we want you to feel like you’ve entered a space that’s deeply human—where hospitality, comfort, and care come first.
From the moment you walk in, you’ll be met with our signature friendly service, followed quickly by delicious food and drinks made with heart. We want every visit to Janus Deli to be a bright spot in your day, a moment that brings a genuine smile or an unexpected feeling of joy. That’s been a defining aspect of our vibe on the Gold Coast, and we’re excited to bring that same energy to the Slacks Creek community.
